I had a moment recently that made me pause.
I came across a feature by Feedspot sharing the top blind Instagram influencers in 2026—a global list of creators using their platforms to shift how people understand blindness and disability.
As I was scrolling, I saw my name.
It caught me off guard. Not something I was working toward. Just… included.
What stayed with me wasn’t the recognition. It was what it represents. This work has never been about numbers for me. It’s always been about connection.
As a blind storyteller and accessibility advocate based in Canada, I share content that brings awareness to the lived experience of vision loss while helping brands and communities create more inclusive spaces. That’s always been the heart of what I do.
Helping people feel something they might not fully understand. Creating a bridge between the sighted and the visually impaired community in a way that feels real.
When I look at that list, I don’t see competition. I see people showing up, sharing their stories, and contributing to something bigger than any one of us. Different voices, different lived experiences, all helping expand what representation can look like.
It reminded me that every time we share, every time we speak, it has impact—even when we don’t immediately see it.
This moment doesn’t just belong to me. It belongs to the conversations, the messages, and the people who have been part of this journey.

And I don’t take that lightly.
Truly honoured. Thank you Feedspot.
